Larry Tise visits University of Kashan

Last Tuesday, on Dec. 5, 2017, distinguished professor of East Carolina University, Larry E. Tise, a specialist in American history, visited University of Kashan.

Professor Larry Tise first met with the dean and faculty members of faculty of Literature and Foreign Languages of University of Kashan. In this meeting, the lecturers and professors of the university discussed topics regarding features of English, Arabic, and Persian language, history, and human race. Dr. Larry Tise also elaborated on his new book, still under authorship, which focuses on the importance of people of color in history of human race and slavery.

 

The distinguished professor of History of East Carolina University also attended a gathering of the students of this faculty. In this gathering, Professor Tise expressed his delight in meeting these students; language differences that cause cultural differences and the importance of the spirit of language were among the topics reviewed in this meeting. After that, a QA session was held with the students of English literature and translation.

Larry E. Tise is a specialist in American history from the American Revolution to the Civil War, in public history, in history administration (archives, museums, historic sites, historic preservation, and publications), and in the history and administration of awards, honors, and prizes worldwide.

He has several publications to his name among which are: Benjamin Franklin and Women (2001); The American Counterrevolution: A Retreat from Liberty (1998); and Proslavery: A History of the Defense of Slavery, 1700-1840 (1978).
