University of Kashan Satellite Team Ranked 2nd in Iran CanSat Competition
University of Kashan satellite design team, Shahab 6, ranked 2nd in the 5th Iran CanSat competition, informed head of Student Research Center, Dr. Alireza Faraji.
The tournament was sponsored by the Iranian Space Research Institute and was held in two major classes of communication-assessment and scientific-exploration. This competition was hold in 3 different stages: concept design, detailed design, and practical release test of CanSat in which University of Kashan achieved this rank among the final 8 teams in communicative-assessment class.
Mahdi Amini Nik, Amir Reza Bahadori, Pouria Zoor Avand, Seyed Vahid Moravej, and Mohammad Javad Maleki are the members of the team, Shahab 6, along with Mohammad Bagherzadeh as supervisor and Dr. Alireza Faraji as advisor.
It should be noted that University of Kashan is the most honorable university in CanSat competition. During the last 5 competitions, University of Kashan has achieved the 1st rank for 5 times and 2nd rank for 2 times in different classes of the competition.
