Unveiling the Biography of Dr. Taghi Shamkhi, Former President of Kashan University

The biography book, "Small Steps on a Great Path," by Dr. Taghi Shamkhi, former President of Kashan University, was unveiled at a ceremony attended by distinguished professors, scholars, presidents of Kashan University, and a group of officials.

The President of Kashan University, in this ceremony, appreciated Dr. Shamkhi, the author of the book, and said: This book is very valuable for the younger generation and can provide useful insights in today's environment, especially for the protesting young generation.

Dr. Behzad Soltani described Dr. Shamkhi's management period at Kashan University as impactful and a source of great good and blessings for the university, adding: High precision in public affairs, avoidance of pretense and hypocrisy, transparency in positions and candid discussions; ability to calculate, foresight, and sharp vision, with fair motivation and without personal gain; employing wise and participatory management, along with support and guidance of the team and continuous supervision, existence of planning, organization, and timely and accurate decision-making ability at an appropriate speed, maintaining human and ethical relationships, humility and modesty in front of the public and subordinates, emphasis on moral growth and acceptance of criticism and cooperation with others, patience and perseverance in the face of events and pressures of the time, are among the characteristics of a successful manager.

He considered a transformational manager as one who creates fundamental changes, not just manages, and stated: The characteristics of a transformational manager are strategic thinking, strategic planning, and practical execution with a strategic approach.

He identified Dr. Shamkhi as a type of transformational manager at Kashan University and noted: His approach is public and public-benefit service in the fields of culture, heritage, and environment; active participation in cultural brainstorming sessions and attention to the country's macro issues, active role in charitable activities, effective membership in local organizations like 'Kashaneh Mehr' and other social gatherings, performing intellectual work and practical planning for others, and the continuity of these tasks.

Dr. Soltani added: A hardworking managerial personality with a habit of working long hours until the end of the administrative day, high sensitivity to public property and international resources and resource management requirements, protection of public trust, maintaining balance between intimate social interaction and professional boundaries in the workplace are among Dr. Shamkhi's characteristics.

The President of Kashan University considered the interest and belief in teamwork essential for increasing the civic impact of Kashan city and added: If managers and civil institutions cooperate, the city's discourse and efficiency will significantly improve.

Stating that Dr. Shamkhi follows Kashan's news and events and is motivated by the city's development, he added: In the educational and research fields, especially regarding the advancement of universities and research, he has had a precise and active performance.

Dr. Soltani noted: Efforts to transform the Teacher Training University into a comprehensive university, establishing the faculties of Engineering, Architecture, and Art at the university, annexing Ayatollah Yasrebi's building to the university, and constructing the Basic Sciences building with outstanding architecture, designing and implementing the fountain square, are among the lasting achievements that Dr. Shamkhi left behind during his presidency at Kashan University."
