Allocation of 300 Billion Rials to University Counseling and Health Centers
The Director General of the Counseling Office at the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology announced the allocation of 300 billion Rials to university counseling and health centers.
Dr. Hamid Reza Hassanabadi, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony for the Counseling and Health Center of the University of Kashan, added: "At the beginning of the year 1405, during the third week of Farvardin, special funds were injected into all universities due to the efforts made by the counseling and health centers of public universities during the period of conflict until conflict."
He stated that this funding varied based on the student population and the performance evaluation of the centers within the universities. He further noted: "During the critical periods in 1404 and early 1405, from the twelve-day war to the Ramadan war and ominous wars imposed upon Iranian society by the Zionist and American regimes, the Health Counselor Office of the Ministry of Science and all university counseling and health centers strived to make controlling and reducing psychological and social harms their primary mission, serving the student and university community."
Dr. Hassanabadi highlighted the implementation of the "Student Counselor Voice" and the "Well-being Check-up Plan" as among the projects carried out in the counseling and health centers of universities, including the University of Kashan. He added: "Furthermore, during these times, the 'Towards Peace' competition was organized by the students themselves, and over two thousand entries were received by the Health Counselor Office of the University of Kashan from the period of the twelve-day war and thereafter."
The Director General of the Counseling and Health Office of the Students Affairs Organization also referred to the implementation of the "Student Physical and Mental Health Monitoring Plan" from September to December of the past year, noting: "University counseling centers provided services during all the crises and unrest in Dey, Esfand, and during the Nowruz holiday."
Dr. Hassanabadi explained that the aim was to "champion the meaning of 'My homeland Iran' resilience" and to support our society and all those who make efforts. He added: "During this period, telephone calls, follow-up care, and all media productions endeavored to serve the university and student community."
Dr. Hassanabadi also pointed to the implementation of the "Student Life Portrait Plan," which began in 1394, was communicated to all universities, and executed in 1404. This plan examines various dimensions of students' lifestyles, including mental, social, and academic health, as well as issues related to marriage and family. The results of this plan will soon be made available to the universities
