Completion of the Third Phase of Asphalt Rehabilitation of Main Roads at the University of Kashan Covering Over 20,000 Square Meters
The Technical Director and Supervisor of Construction Projects at the University of Kashan announced the completion of the third phase of rehabilitation works on the university’s main roads. Given the considerable age of the existing asphalt—exceeding 25 years in certain sections—as well as the severe deterioration and surface damage, the third phase of the roadway improvement project has now been finalized.
Dr. Jamshidzadeh stated that this phase included milling the deteriorated asphalt surface, applying a tack coat, and installing a new asphalt overlay across an area exceeding 20,000 square meters.
She emphasized that the project was carried out with the aim of enhancing traffic safety, improving the quality of vehicular and pedestrian circulation, increasing pavement durability and performance, and upgrading the university’s internal transportation infrastructure. The project plays a significant role in organizing and improving the network of main roads across the campus.
During this phase, the following areas were covered by the asphalt operations:
- From Entrance Gate No. 1 to the Central Administration Building
- From Fayz Hall to Mosque Square
- The Central Library courtyard
- The entrance area of the University Mosque
- From Sepideh Kashani Square to Sports Square
