Meeting Between the President of the University of Kashan and Officials of the University of Kufa

In line with expanding international scientific cooperation and with the aim of enhancing the global standing of the University of Kashan, the President of the University, Dr. Behzad Soltani, along with his accompanying delegation, met on Sunday with officials of the University of Kufa to discuss strategies for strengthening joint scientific, research, and entrepreneurial collaborations.

During this meeting, Dr. Soltani provided an overview of the activities of the University of Kashan and its position in international rankings, expressing the interest of the University in expanding cooperation with Iraqi universities in various fields such as faculty and student exchange, joint research publications, organizing academic and research programs, establishing joint knowledge-based companies, and promoting entrepreneurship in both countries.

Professor Alaa Naji Al-Mulla, President of the University of Kufa, welcomed the proposals presented by the University of Kashan and expressed the readiness of his university to engage in all forms of scientific, research, laboratory, and entrepreneurial collaboration. He also emphasized the interest of the University in signing a joint cooperation agreement upon receiving approval from Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education in the near future.

Dr. Abbas Taleb Mohsen Al-Hadabi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs at the University of Kufa, also held discussions with Dr. Bahram Khoshnavisan, Vice President for Education and Graduate Studies at the University of Kashan, on various topics. Expressing satisfaction with the presence of the Iranian delegation and noting standing of the University of Kashan in international rankings, he called for the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the near future.

It is noteworthy that during this visit, Dr. Mohsen Seyfi, Director of the International Relations Office, also met with Dr. Ammar Abdul-Amir Zuwain, Director of International Cooperation at the University of Kufa, expressing the desire to expand joint collaborations and continue bilateral relations between the two universities.

On the sidelines of the meetings, the Iranian delegation toured the faculties of Science, Architecture, Engineering, and several laboratories at the University of Kufa, engaging in discussions with faculty members and students.
