Meeting of the President of the university of kashan with officials of Al-Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad
In line with expanding international academic cooperation and with the aim of elevating the name of the university of kashan at the transnational level, Dr. Behzad Soltani, President of the university of kashan, and his accompanying delegation met with officials of Al-Mustansiriyah University, Baghdad, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, to discuss ways of enhancing joint scientific, research and entrepreneurial cooperation.
During the meeting, Dr. Soltani provided an overview of the activities of the university of kashan and its position in international rankings, and announced the interest of the university in expanding collaboration with Iraqi universities in areas such as faculty and student exchange, joint academic publications, organization of educational and research programs, establishment of joint knowledge-based companies, and initiatives to promote entrepreneurship in both countries.
Dr. Faten Fadel Al-Qazzaz, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Al-Mustansiriyah University, welcomed the proposals presented by the university of kashan, expressed the willingness of Al-Mustansiriyah to pursue scientific, research, laboratory and entrepreneurial cooperation with the university of kashan, and requested that a memorandum of understanding be signed after obtaining approval from the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education in the near future.
Dr. Jasim Muhammad Abdul-Aboud, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs of Al-Mustansiriyah University, expressed his pleasure at the presence of the Iranian delegation and, noting the standing of the university of kashan in international rankings, called for the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the near future.
It is worth noting that Dr. Mohsen Seyfi, Director of International Relations; Dr. Ali Najafi, Director of the International Campus; and Dr. Mehdi Dasht Bozorgi, Head of the Persian Language Education Center for International Students, accompanied the president. Each of them expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality of the holy shrines and shared their perspectives on expanding international academic collaborations.
