Signing of a Scientific and Research Cooperation Agreement between the University of Kashan and the University of Karbala
In line with expanding international academic collaboration and with the aim of elevating the name of the University of Kashan at the global level, Dr. Behzad Soltani, President of the University of Kashan, met with Dr. Sabah Wajid, President of the University of Karbala in Iraq, on Thursday, November 6, 2025, and signed a memorandum of scientific and research cooperation.
During the meeting, Dr. Soltani presented an overview of the academic activities of the University of Kashan, noting that around 2,000 international students are currently studying at the university. He expressed the interest of the university in broadening international partnerships in various fields, including faculty and student exchange, joint academic publications, organization of educational and research programs, establishment of joint knowledge-based companies, and initiatives promoting entrepreneurship in both countries.
Dr. Sabah Wajid welcomed the proposals presented by the University of Kashan and expressed the readiness of the University of Karbala to engage in any form of scientific and entrepreneurial cooperation, emphasizing the importance of implementing the clauses of the memorandum in the near future.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Mohsen Seyfi, Director of International Relations; Dr. Ali Najafi, Director of the International Campus; and Dr. Mehdi Dasht Bozorgi, Head of the Persian Language Education Center for International Students, accompanied the delegation. Each expressed appreciation for the warm hospitality of the holy shrines and shared their views on expanding international academic collaborations.
