The University of Kashan Achieves an 8-rank Rise in the National Ranking of the Islamic World

The Vice President for Research at the University of Kashan, announcing the results of the 2024 Islamic World University Rankings (ISC 2024), reported that the university has achieved 30^th place nationally, marking an eight-place rise compared to the previous year. He described this accomplishment as the result of the dedicated efforts of the academic community of the university and the strengthening of key research and innovation indicators.

Dr. Hossein Khorasanizadeh, referring to the latest rankings released by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), stated that the University of Kashan demonstrated a remarkable improvement across all evaluated criteria in 2024.

He emphasized that the university advanced to the 151–175 range among universities in Islamic countries and secured the 30^th position nationally, improving by eight ranks compared to last year. Highlighting the significance of this success, he noted that it reflects a clear outcome of focused efforts to enhance both the quantity and quality of scientific output. Among comprehensive universities in Iran, the University of Kashan also climbed two places, reaching 11^th position, which demonstrates the strengthening of the research and educational foundations of the university.

Dr. Khorasanizadeh explained that this progress is largely attributed to a focus on key indicators—particularly those related to research, which account for 60 percent of the overall ISC ranking weight. He pointed out that the increase in high-quality publications in leading journals and the expansion of international collaborations have been among the main drivers of this advancement.

In conclusion, he expressed appreciation for the efforts of faculty members, researchers, and students, and reaffirmed the commitment of the university to sustained progress. He added that the University of Kashan aims to continue improving its educational, research, and innovation indicators to solidify its rightful position at both the national and Islamic world levels through more strategic planning and enhanced partnerships with industry and academic institutions, both inside and outside the country.
