Publication of Issue No. 26 of the Journal of Iranian Architectural Studies
The twenty-sixth issue of the biannual scientific-research Journal of Iranian Architectural Studies has been published.
Dr. Omranipour, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Iranian Architectural Studies, stated that this issue features 12 scholarly articles on various topics contributed by researchers from across the country.
He added that the papers include: Identification of a Lost Architectural Typology in the Heritage of Bushehr Based on Historical Images; A Framework for the Functional Typology of Rock-Cut Architecture in Iran Based on the ICOMOS World Heritage Model; An Analysis of the Structural Transformations of Kerman City from the 5th to the 10th Century AH with a Focus on Political Relations and Urban Elements; Recognition of the Qajar Pavilion in the Fin Garden Based on Innovation in Architectural Spatial Design and Decorative Patterns; and Exploring the Concept of “Perceived Legibility” in the Conservation of Historic Urban Squares in Iran.
Other research papers featured in this issue include: The Role of Privacy and Overlooking in Shaping the Spatial Structure of Vernacular Houses in Hajij Village; Principles of Conservation in Residential Areas Associated with Historic Gardens in Birjand; Justice and Architecture: The Relationship Between Architecture and Justice in the Thought of Imam Ali (AS); A Narrative on the Formation of the Pir-Bakran Shrine during the Ilkhanid Era; A Systemic Analysis of Structural Equilibrium in Historical Buildings: A Graphical Study of the Four-Part Vault; and Safavid and Qajar Tombstones of Estarak Village, Kashan.
Dr. Omranipour also noted that this issue includes a scholarly-promotional article titled “The Prohibition of Tabarruj or Futile Ornamentation in Rational and Health-Oriented Architecture and Art.”
According to the most recent evaluation by the Commission of Scientific Journals of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (2024), the Journal of Iranian Architectural Studies has received a Grade B ranking. Based on the latest classification by the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), the journal has an impact factor of 0.438 and a Q1 quality index.
Published by the University of Kashan, the Journal of Iranian Architectural Studies is a biannual academic publication dedicated to theoretical research in Iranian architecture.
Its primary goal is to introduce new achievements in the field of Iranian architectural studies, support academic research, disseminate the latest findings, and provide a platform for the exchange of ideas among scholars, students, and experts.
