Kashan University Ranked 8th Among Comprehensive Universities in Times Higher Education Asia 2025 Rankings
The Vice President for Research and Scientific Affairs at Kashan University announced that, according to the latest report by the Times Higher Education (THE) in April 2025, Kashan University has been ranked within the 251–300 band in Asia, with a score of 38.3–41.2, securing the 26th national position and ranking 8th among the country’s comprehensive universities.
Dr. Hossein Khorasani Zadeh added that Kashan University achieved a remarkable advancement in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings, climbing 25 places nationally and 13 places among comprehensive universities in the “International Outlook” indicator.
He identified research quality, research environment, teaching (learning environment), industry collaboration, and international outlook as the key indicators of the ranking.
Dr. Khorasani Zadeh further noted the university’s achievements across various indicators:
International Outlook: An 8.4-point increase, climbing 25 places nationally and 13 places among comprehensive universities;
Industry Collaboration: A 6.1-point improvement, moving up 2 places among comprehensive universities;
Teaching (Learning Environment): A 1.4-point increase, advancing 6 places among comprehensive universities;
Research Quality: Maintaining its relative position despite an increase in the number of participating universities.
Dr. Khorasani Zadeh highlighted that 81 Iranian universities were included in the 2025 Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings, underscoring that these achievements reflect Kashan University’s ongoing commitment to enhancing educational and research quality as well as advancing internationalization efforts.
