Chancellor of the UoK Reports on 1 Year of Activity

In a recent meeting with journalists, Dr. Abbas Ketabi, the chancellor of the University of Kashan, revealed that 28 faculty members of the University of Kashan were placed among the top researchers of the world. Considering that the institute hosts 310 faculty members, this means that 8% of the members at the university are elite researchers. Reporting on various achievements of the institute during the last year, the chancellor also mentioned that securing the first rank among top public state universities of Iran is a great and important achievement for the institute.

Planning to expand the industry-society relations, the chancellor explained the industry affiliates program aims to obviate the needs of the society and the problems of our city.

Opportunities to hold theory construction are offered in 7 major areas of tourism, social sciences, economical sciences, and environmental and natural social resources for researchers and scientists. The University of Kashan has added 5 scientific journals to A level, turning them to international journals. Improvement in central laboratory facilities and centralizing the libraries of the university are among other steps taken during the last 12 months.

The following can be mentioned as effective measures taken by the new authorities of the institute to improve the university's stance: establishment of faculties in financial affairs, management, entrepreneurship; admission of more than 300 international students in Masters and PhD programmes; establishing Aazfaa center; Chinese programme establishment.
