Brazil’s Ambassador Visits UoK, Impressed by Achievements, Hopes to Facilitate Scientific Cooperation

Earlier this week, on July 24^th, 2022, His Excellency Laudemar Goncalves de Aguiar, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil, paid a visit to the University of Kashan’s campus, following a quick tour to the Science and Technology Park of the institute.

During his visit, Laudemar Aguiar interviewed with the press. Upon asking about his impression regarding the visit to the University of Kashan, he mentioned that: “First of all, I am impressed by the visit to the Science and Technology Park of the University of Kashan. Here with the president of the University, Dr. Ketabi, and also with the governors that were here, discussing the possible cooperation; I am very impressed by the achievements of Kashan University, one of the top universities in Iran and well-ranked in the world.”

Inquiring about the decision which were made during the visit to the campus and the session with the board of audits at the institute, Laudemar Aguiar believes that: “we found several common grounds on the different areas, sectors, and courses between the University of Kashan and several universities in Brazil. My job now is to approach the universities in Brazil to see what level of cooperation, in which areas there are courses that can be a memorandum of understanding or an exchange of professors and students between our universities and University of Kashan.”

It is noteworthy that during this visit, heads of the faculties at University of Kashan, discussed in details the areas of interest they would like to participate in. Moreover, entrepreneurs and startups active in Science and Technology Park presented their latest achievements and products to the Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil. This will act as the initial step towards higher levels of scientific cooperation on both Iranian and Brazilian parties.
