Aiming at improving the academic and scientific capabilities of its faculty members, staff, and higher education students, University of Kashan central laboratory held an educational workshop on FTIR (in Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy) and BET (Brunauer, Emmett and Teller) theory presented by Dr. Mohammad Taghi Farghadani, head of board of directors at Saba Research Laboratory of Material Testing, at Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Research Center, University of Kashan.

Dr. Mehrdad Moradi, head of Central Laboratory at University of Kashan, informed that the workshop had the following among its main topics: material analysis methods, calculation and its definition, differences between error and uncertainty, dissolution rate measurement, limit detection, confirmation detection (bios precision – linearity – uncertainty parameters), and BET uncertainty estimation process. Furthermore, different techniques for Raman and FTIR or Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy was elaborated on.

Also, Dr. Moradi and Farghadani discussed the possibilities of further cooperation and confirmed joint activities in BET analysis projects between the Central Laboratory of University of Kashan and Saba research laboratory of material testing.
