Nature Index Puts University of Kashan Among the Top in Natural Sciences

The Nature Index provides a perspective on high-quality research on the basis of published articles in Natural Sciences.

The Nature Index 2019 Annual Tables highlights the institutions and countries which dominated research in the natural sciences in 2018. This supplement features not only the Nature Index Global Top 100 institutions across all sectors but also the top 10 institutions for top-quality research output by subject, in life sciences, chemistry, the physical sciences and Earth and environmental sciences. Also included is a normalized ranking derived by considering an institution's top quality output as a proportion of its total output in the natural sciences.

In Nature Index’s 2019 Annual Tables for Western Asia which has ranked 274 institutes, higher education, and research centers, 80 Iranian institutes are included. In this ranking, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM) is ranked 8^th, Tarbiat Modares University (TMU) is ranked 11^th, University of Shiraz, University of Tehran landed the 3^rd and 4^th respectively.

University of Kashan was placed 12^th among universities, research centers, hospitals, and institutes of this field in Iran.
